As a New Hire, you have the opportunity to enroll in HALO benefits during your New Hire Enrollment. Your benefits become effective the first of the month coincident with or following 30 days of employment in an eligible classification. Your enrollment window will be based on your hire date, but will run from the 2nd, through the end of the month. If you do not make elections during this time, you cannot enroll in coverage until Open Enrollment, unless if you experience a Qualified Life Event (QLE).
You will be contacted in the first week of the month that you may begin enrolling. You will receive reminder emails until the enrollment event has been completed, or expired. The information in the table below is important as it relates to your enrollment dates and deadlines.
